Work Packages & Deliverables

Building the Next Generation Collaborative Cyber Defence Platform

The SIEMBIOT project is organised into six complementary Work Packages (WPs), each addressing a key aspect of the design, development, deployment, operation and continuous improvement of the SIEMBIOT cybersecurity platform.

Together, these work packages transform innovative cybersecurity technologies into a practical Security Operations Centre (SOC) platform capable of supporting organisations, public authorities and critical infrastructure operators across Europe. Through collaborative threat intelligence, vulnerability management, incident response and continuous research, SIEMBIOT strengthens cyber resilience while enabling secure information sharing between trusted communities.

WP1

Project management and coordination

The objective of WP1 is to ensure the efficient management, coordination and quality assurance of the SIEMBIOT project throughout its lifetime. The work package provides the governance framework necessary for successful project implementation while ensuring compliance with the Digital Europe Programme requirements.

WP1 coordinates project planning, consortium collaboration, communication activities, quality assurance and risk management. It also supports dissemination activities and engagement with relevant stakeholder communities, including Security Operations Centres (SOCs), Computer Security Incident Response Teams (CSIRTs) and organisations operating in sectors covered by the NIS2 Directive.

Key activities
  • Project coordination and administration

  • Financial and technical management

  • Quality assurance and risk management

  • Consortium governance

  • Communication and dissemination

Working Together

The six work packages form an integrated framework that transforms platform design into operational cybersecurity services and collaborative research capabilities.

  1. WP1Project management
  2. WP2System design
  3. WP3Platform build
  4. WP4Operate platform
  5. WP5Research data lake
  6. WP6Training & innovation

The SIEMBIOT project follows a progressive implementation approach in which each work package builds upon the outcomes of the previous one. The project begins by defining the platform architecture and technical requirements (WP2), followed by the development and deployment of the SIEMBIOT platform (WP3). The operational capabilities are then validated through beneficiary onboarding, continuous cybersecurity services and collaborative threat intelligence sharing (WP4). Operational data collected from the platform feeds the collaborative cybersecurity research environment (WP5), enabling innovation and the development of advanced threat detection techniques. Finally, continuous training, interoperability with CSIRTs and dissemination activities (WP6) ensure the long-term sustainability and adoption of the platform. Throughout the project, WP1 provides the governance, coordination and quality assurance necessary to ensure the successful delivery of all project activities.
